COURSE CONTENT
The content of this qualification comprises three units which are subdivided into six elements plus Teaching Practice:

UNIT 1 PRINCIPLES OF LEARNING

UNIT 2 THE LEARNING PROCESS
E2.1 Teaching Strategies and Methods of Teaching
E2.2 Assessment
E2.3 Managing Teaching and Learning

UNIT 3 DEVELOPING OWN PRACTICE
E3.1 Evaluating and Developing Own Practice

TEACHING PRACTICE
Four hours of observed teaching practice.

Qualification Structure:
to gain the Certificate in Education Principles and Practice, candidates must complete the three mandatory units: Unit 1 Principles of Learning, Unit The Learning Process and Unit 3 Developing Own Practice

Assessment
All candidates are required to sit an examination, which covers all three units, and complete 4 hours of teaching practice: two hours of which must be observed and assessed by a supervising instructor.
